2. Check the qualifications of foreigners who wish to register a company.

Foreigners who wish to register a company in Thailand must have the following qualifications:

Have a valid passport
Have a work permit in Thailand (In case of residing in Thailand)
Not being bankrupt
Never been prosecuted in a criminal case in Thailand or any other country

3. Steps for registering a company

Reserve the company name: before registering. The promoter must reserve the company name with the Department of Business Development. Company names can be reserved online or at the Provincial Commerce Office.
Prepare documents: Documents required for registration are as follows:
- Application form for registration of limited company establishment
- Company regulations
- List of shareholders
- Copy of ID card or passport of the promoter and every shareholder.
- Document showing payment for shares
- Contract appointing directors
- Letter of consent for use of business premises
Apply for registration: Promoters can apply for registration at the Department of Business Development or Provincial Commerce Office.
Payment of fees: The fees for registering a limited company are as follows:
- Registration fee 5,000 baht
- Seal registration fee (In case of wanting to register a brand) 1,000 baht
Obtain a registration certificate: When the Department of Business Development has verified all documents. A registration certificate will be issued.

Foreigners must apply for a work permit before they can conduct business in Thailand.
