On February 25, 2025 Earlier, Ms. Patcharaporn Vejvidyaklung, President of FDI Group, attended the press conference as a supporting partner for the 20th NSTDA Annual Conference (NAC2025).th NSTDA Annual Conference: NAC2025 at the Press Conference Room, 1st Floor, King Mongkut Building, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI).
This year's event is organized under the conceptDriving Science and Technology with AI for a Sustainable Thailand: AI-driven Science and Technology for Sustainable Thailand which will be held between March 26–28, 2025, at the Thailand Science Park, Khlong Luang District, Pathum Thani Province.
The press conference was led by Professor Dr. Chookiat Limpijumnong, President of the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), Dr. Chai Wutthiwiwatwong, Director of the National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC), along with a team of NSTDA researchers under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), and numerous partner organizations who participated in the event.
Professor Dr. Chookiat Limpijumnong, Director of NSTDA. said that “NSTDA is the main driving force of the nation” in advancing the development of science, technology, and innovation (STI) to meet the needs of the industrial sector, enhance the country’s competitiveness, and improve the quality of life of the people, with a focus on...Science and Technology Development for Sustainable Thailand, or S&T Implementation for Sustainable Thailand ChatGPT said: The NSTDA Annual Conference (NAC) is therefore another major event that showcases the progress in science, technology, and innovation (STI) jointly developed by NSTDA and its network of public and private partners to drive Thailand forward. The event presents knowledge, research, and development in AI, as well as approaches to integrating AI with various scientific and technological fields under the operation of the five national research centers under NSTDA: BIOTEC, MTEC, NECTEC, NANOTEC, and ENTEC. The goal is to apply these developments for the greatest benefit to the nation and its people, while also emphasizing the development of AI human resources to meet labor market demands and to cultivate capable personnel to drive the national economy in alignment with the MHESI For AI policy of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation.
The main highlight of this year’s eventThere will be a special seminar, “Decoding Thailand’s AI Future: Strategy for Competitive Edge,” in which NSTDA joins forces with Techsauce to invite the nation’s leading speakers to decode and strategize Thailand’s pathway toward an AI-driven future. The seminar will explore opportunities, delve into key factors through case studies from leading businesses, and present real-world AI applications based on NSTDA’s research.
Dr. Chai Wutthiwiwatwong, Director of NECTEC-NSTDA, said that “ AI plays an important role in the economy and society, the development of AI is a key driver in propelling the country toward becoming a leader in AI at both the regional and global levels. The organization of NAC2025 is therefore regarded as a driving force in strengthening Thailand’s AI ecosystem — creating opportunities, enhancing competitiveness, stimulating the economy, improving quality of life, and preparing all sectors to effectively adapt to the digital transformation. The goal is to enable Thailand to become a stable, strong, and sustainable regional AI hub in the near future.
